Chapter 7

I want to begin with how I think it would be fascinating to see an animal be built from piece to piece.

When Neil used the analogy of the "earth year" to divide the 4.5 billion year history of earth and put it in 1 year, it made things much more easy to understand.

I never knew that med students had to identify organs by looking at random slides of tissue under a microscope. As well, I thought that was an extremely difficult thing to do.

I liked how Neil used the example of going on a run to portray how our skeleton works as a big machine, especially because I'm a runner so I can relate to just about everything he was saying.

Collagen and cartilage are also amazing and unique.
