I love the toothfairy!

I didn't know that reptiles were visited by the toothfairy repeatedly. That's so cool. Why can't us mammals be able to do that? We'd all be rich! Anyway, besides some cool facts, I wasn't very interested in this chapter. Shubin's first time in field paleontology didn't appeal to me, but I thought it was pretty cool how he had to get used to a site before he could find all the bits and pieces of fossils. Even as an expert paleontologist, he still has to readjust himself to the new environment every time, but he never gives up. I thought that was pretty inspiring.
I also liked the fact that teeth are easy to manage and keep track of because they are so well preserved. This is because teeth are filled with hydroxyapatite. <- I just learned that (: I can see Darwin's survival of the fittest theory being played in the "fish-eat-fish world" with the big fish and the little fish. Pretty cool!
