Chapter 2 Getting A Grip

Chapter two starts with a interesting beginning starting off with the dissection of a human body, which made think of the pig dissection I did in my bio class freshmen year. After few pages you get interested in the book and want to continue reading and not put the book down, I also found out amazing facts about the Tiktaalik that how its body was made to do push ups and a little funny also.

I thought this chapter was more interesting then the last chapter, other then taking about fossils it started to talk about more detail about the fishes. At first I did not understand what bones in the body the author was talking about, but again the pictures played a crucial role showing the bones in each of the fishes. This portrayed a interesting picture in my head and made me think about where we originated from. At first I thought we originated from primates but this book changes your point of view of where we came from. This book shown me that similarities between the fishes and humans and how more they relate then to humans. Overall Shubin does a great way reaching out to the reader and trying to make the reader understand what science has discovered.

P.S. Mr. Tisor sorry for the delay of the post I did not have access to the computer
