This chapter was actually better than the first chapter. The first chapter talked only about finding fossil, so it was too bored to read. However, the second chapter was not that bored because it began with the story of his dissection experiment. When I read the dissecting part, I looked my hand and arm and really imagined the lab that the author did. And the fact that the body, which has been treated with a number of preservatives, did not bleed when cut was enough to make me falling into this chapter.
At the beginning of the book, I thought the story of the book will change from paleontology to anatomy, so I was so happy and interested, but the story, eventually, goes to the paleontology and ends with it.
Maybe, there are some factors that I did not realize, but based on what I read, there was something that I can’t agree with the book. The book claimed that because creatures that have limbs shares similar arm structures with fish, the creatures and fish have same ancestors, and supported Darwinism with the claim. However, I did not think it is enough to support the Darwinism because just similar structure does not show the evolution.
Because of that, I felt something awkward, but it just personal thinking^^
And at the last part, author said even though human and other creatures have some similar structures, that doesn't mean human is not unique. At this part, i was totally agree with the book.
