No matter how may times Shubin brings up embryos, I think I will always be amazed. We all start off at something so small to transform to become something so big. When Shubin described how the different colors radiate to make something so beautiful, it makes me want to become a palentologist too. At the same time, its weird how our body just knows where everythng goes, but by knowing that, it makes me curious to learn about how abnormalities form. I realized that while Shubin tells me how and why everything forms in a perfect human beings body, I get curious about all the things that go wrong. I've always wanted to become a Marine Biologist, but reading this book makes me want to open my eyes and look around at different career options. I was also very curious when reading about the cartilage. I liked learning about the cartilage because a year ago, I tore the cartilage that surrounds the socket in my shoulder and because of that I get to get a surgery on August 23. So I guess learning about how essential the cartilage is makes me realize that the surgery I'll be getting will make my life much more easier.
