This chapter was on chapter that i understood very well due to my past knowedge of biology. Although they were only the fundamentals I understood how the cells in our bodies communicated to create our bodies. Cancer was an interesting topic to read about. It was nice how Shubin was able to explain to us readers about the characteristics of cancer so that it was easily understood. For example, he referred to them as cells that rebelled. It was also interesting to read how Shubin can come up with explanations to how an algae can be even closely compared to a fox. The similarities between these small organisms and us seemed very limitless. Shubin always seems to inform me about new things every chapter. For instance, I was not even aware that sponges had the ability to even communicate with one another. As this book is closely coming to a close, I am looking forward to what Shubin has to conclude and finish off.
