Chapter 7: Adventures in Bodybuilding

This chapter was actually by far the most inspirational chapter I've ever read so far, yet very fascinating. Even though this chapter was a bit confusing and hard to understand, Shubin's way of speaking made everything so much easier to comprehend. For example, when he uses the analogy of a mammal formed from an embryo and grows simply larger like a house. In general, every tiny details were very significant and substantial. One thing that caught my attention the most was the Volvox, a genus of chlorophytes , a type of green algae which carries up to 50,000 cells. However, what was really appealing to me was that some of the components that we use to hold our physique together are detected in bacteria as what Shubin talked discussed throughout this chapter.
