chapter seven: adventures in bodybuilding

After reading this chapter, the section that seemed to catch my attention the most is how Shubin explained we are like a river in that everything changes within us, yet we are the same person. Although this is a bit off the topic of the book, I felt this was very interesting. As we are alive this very second, millions of things are going on inside our body. New cells develop and as Shubin stated eventually nothing will be the same. If we put history within a year, although we are only a short part of the very end, human beings are the most complex and amusing creatures.
