Chapter 4

The first thing I did before starting this chapter was count the number of pages. It's a common ritual I do before starting any chapter. Hey I'm lazy and like knowing how dry the next chapter is going to be and how much time I should put away to read. I didn't get interested into this chapter until he wrote about the actual digging experience. It was interesting to learn how grueling the job was. Like alot of kids, at one point I wanted to be an archaeologist. It just sounds so much fun, playing in the dirt all day and getting the thrill of finding some kind of fossil and getting it named after you. Just like any childhood fantasy, real life does not even come close to matching. This just reminded me about how real life is much tougher and not sugarcoated like a child's fantasy. During the middle of the chapter my mind wandered in and out of reading but my attention was brought back once again when he mentioned the amusing story of how him and his colleagues become beauty pageant judges. Small stuff like that amuses me and I get interested once again. I also had fun trying to eat a carrot without using my molars. It was impossible and I kept choking so that's always fun. Getting back to the book I found it interesting that the paleontologists discovered an early form of teeth without realizing it. This made me consider that there's always something else out there that can change the way you view things. My favorite part of the chapter was the last paragraph where he summarized the main points of the past few chapters. I just love that because it's like a little refresher on what I read.
So bless your face and if you sneezed during the middle of this blog of biology than bless you. Peace off! (ashamed of myself for not using this sign off earlier >.<)
