Ch. 4

In chapter 4, Shubin dicusses his 1st field expedition. After many days of searching he found nothing. So he decided to shadow an expert. But still no luck finding fossils. It wasn't until he started seeing the desert in a different light, that he was able to find fossils on his own. This is very similar to how I learn. When I have a hard time understanding a concept, I find it helpful to step back and look at the problem in a different aspect. I often seek the help of teachers to help me with this. I found it interesting that hair, feathers, breast tissue, and teeth all come from the development of teeth.
