Chapter 3

This chapter was very astonishing for me, almost more than the previous 2 chapters. The part of the chapter that I was most astonished by was when the author and his scientists altered the DNA of the chicken embryo and digits were created as a result. A chicken with fingers. Also, the fact that every species on Earth has the Sonic Hedgehog shows connection within each animals. If you compare a human to a shark, you will not see the any similarities. However, if you look at the DNA, you will see that even a shark is connected to humans by the Sonic Hedgehog. The Sonic Hedgehog is the component that creates the limbs and the body shape in every animal. The book has caught my interest even more with the mentioning of the DNA. With this chapter, I was able to discover a new subject of evolution rather than the physical evolution itself.
