Chapter 4 was a good chapter, and it was fun to read. I liked reading chapter 4 because it was easy to understand and it taught me a lot. Our teeth are made in such a way that we are able to eat plants and/or animals. "If you doubt this, imagine eating an apple lacking your incisor teeth or. better yet, a large carrot with no molars" (73). We are able to eat these foods because of our incisors and molars. This made me appreciate my teeth because without incisors, I would not be able to eat an apple. I actually enjoy apples and I am glad that my teeth enable me to eat apples. The chapter was easy to understand because of the pictures. I liked the picture on page 79 with the diagram of the layers of skin interacting to form teeth, breasts, feathers, and hair. It shows a nice step by step formation of the different items formed. It took millions and millions years to create all of our structures that we may or may not appreciate, that's why I'm looking forward to chapter 11: The Meaning of It All.
