I was traveling around different states, so here is chapter 1, 2, and 4.
Chapter one:
I thought this book will use scientific vocabulary that I will never understand, but it was really easy to read. He doesn’t just list bunch of scientific facts, but makes the reader engage in to it by different stories. For example, he shares his story about the exploration for the Tiktaalik. Also this chapter taught me about geology and the fossils that are buried in the different layer of the Earth. I don’t look forward reading this book because I believe that evolution never happened.
Chapter two:
When I was reading chapter two, I was grossed out because he talked about dissecting the human. I would never dissect a human because its like killing a dead body. After that I got bored because he kept explaining how humans are connected to animals. I kind of already learned this fact many past years. However it was very funny how he explained that Tiktaalik had similar hands and wrist like humans and that they can do push ups.
Chapter four:
I thought this chapter was more interesting than the previous chapter about the DNA. It was very interesting how little small things could be really important to our body. He talks about how human set of teeth are made to eat everything and that the precision helps us to break down the food. Also it was very interesting to learn that scientists can use teeth of a fossil to determine how old it was. I taught this chapter was most interesting chapter that we read so far because it was very easy to understand and uses his experience.
