This chapter talked a lot about one of my favorite subjects in biology: DNA. In my opinion it is one of the most interesting things in the subject. Chapter 3 brought back so many flash backs of freshman year in Mr. Tisor's bio class. I distinctly remember the long DNA chain that we all made in 3rd period that practically extended out the door and all the fun times we had that day and all year long.
The actually chapter itself was also interesting especially with his mention of Sonic who we all know and love. The book is written well and is entertaining at times. Shubin does a good job connecting from chapter to chapter and links his ideas well. All in all this is definitely one of the best summer assignments.
