Over all I thought this chapter was very complicated to understand, it talked about genes which I thought was not very interesting. I had re read a couple of pages to understand the meaning of the passage, which took a while, but sooner or later i understood it. What I thought was amazing how the genes relate to Sonic Hedgehog a video game created by Sega, how ZPA can change the whole creation of a wing , hand, etc.
What I thought was awesome how to colleagues of Mr. Shubin manipulated genes together and experiment with life, I thought that was the interesting part of the chapter and how they use ZPA to compare and contrast with the usage of it and with out. Towards the end even though it was complicated to understand i thought it gave us a more specific understanding of genes and the manipulation of life to see what it forms, I hope the next chapter is a little easier to comprehend.
