Chapter 3

Pages 48 and 49 made me flash back to when I was looking at gorey and bloody pictures about lab animals. Although genetic experiments on the chickens, sharks, flies helped discover Sonic Hedgehog and the ZPA, I am strongly against testing on animals. The cutting up of tissues and injection of Vitamin A just creeped me out and makes me think what would happen If I were that poor embryo. What are the fates of the animals that had human-made errors on their genes? I'm frightened.

Double digits, what an interesting but disturbing discovery made by the lab groups. The wonders of science, who knows what miracles and break-throughs will happen in the future. I wish I had 10 fingers on one hand so that I can multitask such as playing video games and working on homework at the same time hehe. I am quite amazed at how one can produce double digits with either Vitamin A injections or utilizing the ZPA. Too bad we cannot extract DNA from old fossils, it would have helped us understand more about the genetic structure of dinosaurs! I wonder if they named the gene Sonic Hedgehog because of Sonic's ability to run incredibly fast and do crazy things a normal unaltered hedgehog wouldn't be able to do. Ah, it pays to play videogames right guys?
