Truthfully i was not very interested on the whole review on the dna lesson, but throughout the course of the chapter, i noticed how important dna recipes are and how they makeup an organism. i thought it was interesting though, how the idea of using parts of another dna can create wonders and strange effects. (Only if i can change my genes...hehehe) The only problem i had was the lack of concrete, vivid imagery to understand what the author was describing. This chapter had a couple of confusing aspects, which made the reading a bit hard to understand. (either that, or im not a very attentive reader...tehh) Good thing though, that there were images. I would have no idea what some of the things Shubin described was about without them. But other then those small parts, Shubin blew me away with his other easy to understand points and ideas. More and more that i read, i wanted him to create some animal with wings and hands or maybe a horse with a horn. That, would blow me away. Oh how my silly mind works. I blame my dna for that. welllll anyway...this chapter really made me get sidetracked... and interested in a strange way.
