Keep up the engaging posts! We are to Chapter 4 and I think that you will find it a welcome break from the technicalities presented in Chapter 3.
Many of you commented on the difficulty of understanding Chapter 3... and I agree that it is a complicated chapter... but I need to stress to you now that this whole year will be thick with technical reading and it is very important that you take the time to understand what you are reading because it will be the primary method of learning as we move rapidly from one subject to another throughout the year.
Our text has great illustrations and I am glad to see that many of you are relying on the illustration that Shubin provides because I will expect you to do the same for all of the assigned readings during the year.
The AP scores for this last years tests were just released to me and it is clear to me based on how each of my students did.... the students who read the text book carefully before each days lecture did well on the AP exam and those who did not adequately prepare for lecture did not do as well.
