I didn’t really think about the importance of teeth until I read this chapter. The fact that they are the strongest part of our body is pretty amazing since they r so small. It was also nice to find out that humans have a set of teeth that shows that we are “all-purpose eaters” (61). I agree that the most amazing aspect of our mouth “is the precision in which we chew” (61). This function allows us to eat almost anything and helps break down our food so our stomach can have an easy time doing its job. Plus I love food so this idea makes me love teeth even more ^-^♥. Learning about ostracoderm was the most interesting thing about this chapter. The head of this ancient fish is made of teeth. That’s amazing, the function of the teeth are used for protection.
