This chapter was very interesting even though it talked just about teeth. I liked this chapter because I as a reader learned a lot about teeth and how important they are. This chapter was easy to understand and was not complicated in any way. Our teeth play a very important role in our body not only being the strongest mechanism in our body but also an important device. Teeth come in every shape and form, for example us humans have molar teeth and incisor teeth and our teeth last our whole life time and grow only once, as for animals whose jaws are not lined up or there teeth are precise break multiple times in there lifetime and grow back. "The French anatomist George Cuvier once famously boasted that he could reconstruct an animal's entire skeleton from a single tooth."( Pg. 60-61) That means that one tooth can determine any animal, human, or reptiles body structure depending on that single tooth, I think that is amazing. Also, towards the end it made it easier to understand because of the pictures and diagrams shown, including the on page 79 the development of the breast, hair, feather, and the tooth. At the end of the chapter the author wrapped it up by emphasizing the main points of each chapter which made it interesting to look forward for the next chapter.
