Chapter 6: The Best-Laid (Body) Plans

This chapter was quite interesting from the fact that the same parts of the cell layer arranges and shapes the identical parts in every mammal. Then, Shubin talks about the Hox genes in fruit flies and humans. Because of this, fruit flies are so substantial and useful to scientists and is an ideal organism for genetic research. They cultivate in particularly the same way as all other animals, and even in humans. I have learned that hox genes are a group of related genes that determines the fundamental anatomy and the adjustment of an organism. Hox genes also sets up and controls the head-to-tail allignment of the embody. I am looking forward to read the next chapter: Adventures in Bodybuilding
