Chapter 4

Shubin's writing style is different from everyone else. For example when the title said teeth everywhere then the chapter would be about mainly teeth. I liked chapter 4 because it had described the function of teeth. It also had what type of teeth they had and how they use their teeth to eat. When Shubin started talking about bones it slowly connected to the teeth which was very interesting because it reveals a lot about the creature. When shubin told the story about Chuck, Bill, and Paul i was amazed because he had discovered many different bones. A tritheledont and a piece of its upper jaw discovered in nova scotia image had helped me reveal how the creature looked like. The title teeth and bones- the hard stuff was very interesting because it had an image of conodonts and ostracoderms which had helped me understand them much better. Teeth, glands and feathers image had also helped me understand the interactions between layers and skin.
