teeth everywhere

Shubin has a way of catching the reader's attention and giving the main idea of the chapter through the titles. As he summed this fourth chapter up, he mentioned how until now, he has given us an overview of organs that are similar in every organism. I found this very interesting because at the beginning of the chapter, I was curious why he was explaining how humans are exceptionally good at chewing food. He was showing the gradual change among organisms as time progressed. Another factor I found interesting was when he mentioned his experience searching for fossils. Never really thinking about paleontologists, I always had an idea that they were just born with the ability to seek and find fossils. However, Shubin displayed how it was a skill obtained through time and effort.
