Ch.2: Getting a Grip
The title of this chapter really speaks for itself. Through this section of the book I was able to learn a deeper level of our limbs in our bodies and how they function and what they are useful for. As Shubin said, "A strip of tissue at the extreme end of the limb bud is essential for all limb development. Furthermore, it was interesting to see that although birds, whales and humans are very different, we all have similar bone structure and have similar limbs in our bodies. It will never cease to amaze me how humanity is formed from the Tiktaalik. The human body has many capabilities that simply arose from an ancient fish that was only capable of doing a small "push-up". This helps me realize that every living creature is not so different from one another.
