Chapter 2: getting a grip
As I read most of the scientific information doesn't really interest me. What interest me is how the world tries to make us out of a fish . That is something really funny to me. The long excavations that take place are also another interesting point throughout the chapters. In chapter 2 I was really drawn towards the relationship humans share with fish because of the hand. Owen also came up with the name dinosaur for a very different species he came across in England. All creatures with limbs have the same design just in a different size. A typical fin has 4 more bones in it. The true funny part about that is that Owen and his friends take forever to find fossils and when they do sometimes one isn't enough to tell the story of life. The joints of the Tiktaalik were still well preserved. The fins of the fish allowed them to be put in a position to complete a push up. This allowed the fish to roam on the bottom of the lake river or stream.
