Chapter 2: Getting A Grip

When Shubin began talking about the human dissection, it really interested me. I love dissecting because i find it so fascinating. I liked how he was using phrases like "one bone-two bone-lotsa blobs-digits" and "Tiktaalik was able to 'drop and give us twenty'" because it makes the book more friendly and easy to understand.
This chapter was interesting because i never knew that the difference between creatures lie in differences in the shapes and sizes of the bones and the number of blobs, fingers, and toes. I never realized that we were so similar to other animals, especially not fish. Also i enjoyed when he talked about the wrist and how it works and how the placement of our hips is important to how we walk.
But what i didn't enjoy very much was him going on and on about his colleagues and their discoveries. But other than that, it was a quick, easy, and interesting read and i look forward to reading more.
