Although this was not the most exciting chapter, it had a lot of interesting information. Also, the timing between the video game character Sonic the Hedgehog and the gene Sonic Hedgehog seemed very convenient.

Chapter 3: Handy Genes
I found this chapter very intriguing and insightful. With one alteration in DNA, a part of someone or something can be completely changed. Astonishingly, scientists have the power to manipulate and mutate embryos. With science, it seems as though anything is possible. It is amazing how a cell is the start of a human being; the cell contains what is necessary to eventually build an entire body. While reading this chapter, it was hard to not let my mind drift. With DNA, there are so many possibilities for what a human can actually look like. Furthermore, with heavy scientific involvement, animal's skeletal structures can be changed so that it is born different.
