Oh yeah, I definitely got a grip this chapter, a grip on how something so simple could so complicated and boring. You never really think of your hand as something amazing or important, or actually appreciate how perfect the structure is that enables us to do everything we love; not until you read 15 pages describing in detail about the very things that I'm using to type this up. One thing that I found particularly funny was that the fish that the author himself discovered, Tiktaalik, could actually do push ups just as human could; making the picture of a very buff and physically fit fish's image pop into my head. Also, it was refreshing to see just how all of our necessary organs developed over time from many lesser creatures, resulting in the amazing things we call our body parts. The rest of the chapter I thought was fairly uninteresting so I won't mention anything else, as I venture into Chapter 3 with a little less than enthusiasm.
