Chapter 3: Handy Genes
This chapter was very deep and broad. I found this chapter quite interesting because Shubin talked about genes into more depth. I have already known that genes and the arrangements of the DNA structures creates us what we are. However, I wasn't actually aware of how our body cultivates. Shubin asserted that our limbs exist in three dimensions. Geneticists managing with flies discovered a gene and called it a hedgehog. They also discovered that the chicken chronicles of the genes were specifically similar to the fly version of the gene and called it the Sonic hedgehog. I was precisely fascinated because the Sonic hedgehog is effective during the process of limb development.
