As I started reading the book, I thought to myself, “How interesting it is to learn about fossils from such a respectable paleontologist!” I have always refused to believe that humans can relate and evolve from fishes. But Shubin slowly changed my opinion about how similar human and fish structure are. The discovery of the Tiktaalik that Shubin's team found also helped make his ideas more credible. Also the way the author explains his findings and his explanations was very easy to understand and comprehend. For the previous years I wasn't too sure about the concept of rock layers, but as I have explained earlier, Shubin makes it easier for "first-timers" to actually understand what its really about. So far, I'm enjoying this book and looking forward to read more about the author's discoveries and explanations from his adventure. I constantly question myself, "What's next?"
